If you have pets, particularly cats, you should be very careful with the Easter grass you can buy in stores. Cats can eat this Easter grass, and it has the potential to get wrapped around their insides and cause them a lot of pain, or even death. (Same goes for tinsel at Christmas time.) So this year (my first year in my own house with my own pets), I made my own Easter grass. You'll need:
Colored construction paper
A paper shredder (or scissors - but that will just take a little longer)
1) Pick the colors you want for your "grass"
2) Make sure your shredder is empty
3) Shred your construction paper (or cut it into thin strips)
4) Put it in the baskets (or buckets - if you have a cat like mine who eats baskets)!
